What is your film background?
The production company for Stuck (Buzzadelic) is also a marketing and advertising agency who partners with non-profits to help them tell their stories. We brought video production in-house about 4 years ago and learned filmmaking while helping to produce a feature film at East Carolina University in 2015. The CEO of Buzzadelic is a published author, award-winning team builder and technology pioneer. Our partnership with Building Hope Community Life Center in Greenville, NC is being developed as Stories of Hope Films where we are currently in pre-production of our 2nd short film which is a prequel to Stuck. We’re also producing a 3-week film camp this summer.
As a Christian, how do you see yourself impacting the film industry?
We want to tell His stories. Stories of redemption and hope to inspire others. We have the best stories, we just need to become better story tellers.
What was the biggest challenge you overcame to make your film?
Shooting at night in a darkened church was difficult to light and we learned much. I wouldn’t want to do that again.
Who are your biggest influences in film and why?
People like the Kendrick Brothers and David A. R. White are inspiring because they seem to be breaking through a barrier and representing Christ in an excellent way in the entertainment industry.
What is the funniest or weirdest thing that has ever happened to you on set?
The guy playing our homeless character fell asleep on the set for real on the church pew and started snoring.
What is your favorite Bible verse? And how does this influence your filmmaking?
"Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” Phil 3:12
