Based on the misadventures of clean comic GL Douglas, the GL Douglas Show intertwines laugh-out-loud comedy with subtle mischief and nonsensical entanglements.  Fifth grade teacher by day and stand-up comedian by night, GL Douglas is abruptly aware that her biological clock is spiraling to an end, and she is determined to find a husband before it is too late.

 

GL is easily distracted by every opportunity that comes her way when it comes to meeting "the one."  Taking the bull by the horns when it comes to her love life, GL does not recognize there's no sensible method to her madness.

 

What was once simply a longing for love and relationship has taken a sharp turn into pandemonium. With her BWG (Best White Girlfriend) and her manager in tow, the comic complications of GL’s life unfold into over-the-top schemes and ill-thought out plans to discover true love. Desperate, GL enlists the help of her fifth grade students, her favorite comedy club owner and a waitress at the club in her zany attempts to find Mr. Right.
